Everything below comes from Anthropic's own SEC filings unless I say otherwise. I will update this page when the price range is set and again on the first day of trading.

Anthropic's share price, round by round

These are the prices investors paid for preferred shares in each private round, as listed in the S-1/A. Use them to compare rounds with each other.

Round When Price per share Raised Rise from previous round
Series E-1 January to March 2025 $56.0865 $3.57 billion -
Series F-1 August to September 2025 $140.9676 $13.0 billion 2.5x

An investor in the Series E paid about 10.5 times less per share than one in the Series H fifteen months later.

What is Anthropic stock trading at before the IPO?

Before the listing, some shares change hands privately on secondary platforms open mainly to accredited investors. On November 2, 2026, Google showed Nasdaq Private Market's indicated Anthropic price at $804.75 a share and Notice.co at $919.49. Those are 37% and 56% above the Series H price. They are platform estimates, not exchange prices, and most people cannot trade at them.

Anthropic's numbers in the amended S-1

Measure Nine months to Sept. 30, 2026 Nine months to Sept. 30, 2025 Full year 2025
Revenue $33,242 million $2,545 million $4,585 million
Compute and infrastructure $18,808 million $4,381 million $7,326 million
Operating loss $1,260 million $5,224 million $8,060 million
Net loss $104,039 million $25,107 million $41,965 million
Cash and short-term investments $131,845 million (Sept. 30, 2026) - -

Source: Anthropic S-1/A, consolidated statements of operations and balance sheet data.

Third-quarter 2026 revenue works out to $16,956 million, against $1,382 million a year earlier (my subtraction of the first-half figures from the nine-month totals). Anthropic says revenue grew 1,127% year over year in that quarter, while compute costs grew 382%.

The huge net loss is mostly paper. $94.3 billion of the nine-month loss is the change in fair value of convertible notes, derivatives and SAFEs, which rises as Anthropic's value rises. The operating loss, which leaves that out, shrank to $1.26 billion.

The seven co-founders are Dario Amodei, Daniela Amodei, Tom Brown, Jack Clark, Jared Kaplan, Sam McCandlish and Christopher Olah, and all seven are listed as selling stockholders. More on the share classes is in my Anthropic valuation page.

How much will the founders be worth after the IPO?

Co-founder Class A shares Share of fully diluted stock At $965 billion At $2 trillion
Tom Brown 244,173,040 1.44% $13.9 billion $28.8 billion
Sam McCandlish 243,383,850 1.44% $13.9 billion $28.7 billion
Christopher Olah 242,882,420 1.43% $13.8 billion $28.7 billion
Jared Kaplan 242,351,170 1.43% $13.8 billion $28.6 billion
Jack Clark 242,271,840 1.43% $13.8 billion $28.6 billion
Daniela Amodei 241,408,940 1.43% $13.8 billion $28.5 billion
Dario Amodei 240,637,980 1.42% $13.7 billion $28.4 billion
All seven 1,697,109,240 10.0% $97 billion $200 billion

My calculation. Share counts are from the S-1/A as of September 30, 2026, and include options and RSUs vesting within 60 days. Dario Amodei also votes 4,621,120 shares held by donor-advised funds, which are not included. The divisor is about 16.94 billion fully diluted shares, derived from the filing's statement that 846,840,960 shares were 5% of fully diluted shares on June 30, 2026. $965 billion is the Series H valuation and $2 trillion is the reported IPO target, not a price. Founder sales in the offering will lower these numbers.

So each co-founder holds about 1.4% of the company, and together they hold about a tenth.

When can Anthropic insiders sell?

The co-founders and holders of more than 0.5% of fully diluted shares are locked up until the earlier of two trading days after Anthropic reports its quarter ending September 30, 2027, or 365 days after the IPO. Everyone else is locked up until the earlier of two trading days after the quarter ending March 31, 2027 is reported, or 180 days after the IPO. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley can release shares early.

That means the first large wave of insider and employee shares could reach the market around spring 2027, which is a date worth watching if you buy at the IPO.

How to buy Anthropic stock

  1. At the IPO. Most brokers let customers request shares of new listings, but allocations for a deal this size usually go mostly to institutions. Check your broker's IPO section once the price range is published.
  2. On the first day of trading. Once ANT starts trading on Nasdaq, any brokerage account can buy it like other stocks.
  3. Before the IPO. Accredited investors can try secondary platforms such as Nasdaq Private Market and Forge Global, at the platform prices above and with transfer restrictions.
  4. Indirectly. Amazon and Alphabet own large non-voting stakes, so their shares carry some Anthropic exposure, though Anthropic is a small part of either company's value.

None of this is investment advice. Anthropic's own filing lists risks including its losses, its heavy compute commitments and a governance structure that limits ordinary shareholders' votes.

How I checked this

I read Anthropic's S-1 of October 26 and its Amendment No. 1 of November 2, 2026 directly on SEC EDGAR, including the financial statements, related-party transactions, ownership table and lock-up terms. The $965 billion valuation is from Anthropic's Series H announcement, the $2 trillion target is the Associated Press's reporting, and secondary prices are what those platforms displayed on November 2. Founder values are my own arithmetic and are labeled as such.
